Help for Heroes will not only be one of the benefitting charities at the World’s Largest Sport and Music Festival, but they will also be entering teams in some of the competitions!

The Whitshire-based National Charity will participate in Bournemouth 7s from 2nd - 4th June with teams in both the Dodgeball and Rugby Events, whilst, additionally, hosting fun and physical challenges for the general public on its own stand across the festival weekend.

We caught up with the Charity’s Area Fundraising Manager, John Carpenter, who said:

“We are honoured to be one of this fantastic event’s three chosen charities, and delighted to be able to enter a team comprising military veterans who have benefited from the services we provide.

That will give not just an opportunity for them to have great fun, but also offer an insight for the general public into how the Charity can make a huge difference in the lives of wounded, injured or ill veterans.”

Help for Heroes believes those who serve our country deserve support when they’re wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds. The Charity helps them, and their families, to recover and get on with their lives. It has already supported more than 26,500 people and won’t stop until every wounded veteran gets the support they deserve.
