Bournemouth 7s, the world’s largest sport and music festival, has chosen WeTrack as its trusted events operations and incident management platform for the fourth year running.
Each year sports teams and party lovers travel to the south coast for an unrivalled festival atmosphere. Having launched as a rugby festival in 2008, Bournemouth 7s Festival has now grown to welcome 30,000 people and over 400 teams to compete in one of 7 sports; rugby, netball, hockey, dodgeball, fitness games and new for 2023, basketball and cheerleading.
With this growth, the Festival recognised a need for WeTrack's game-changing features that encompass every element needed for effective incident management. The easy-to-use interface has helped the festival improve collaboration and communication between staff and contractors onsite, and was clearly built with operations in mind.
Paul Ashurst, Managing Director of Bournemouth 7s, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the WeTrack team. What stood out from the offset was the extent to which the software had been built with operations in mind. It was a game changer for our risk and incident management processes, giving absolute visibility for our key event and safety managers. It also allowed our control room to streamline its processes, maximising efficiency. We are grateful for the commitment they have made to supporting our festival in its technical requirements and we look forward to working with them in the years ahead.”
Peter Ward, Managing Director of WeTrack, added: “We love the Bournemouth 7s and everything they do. It’s such as great event and we’re happy to play our part in keeping everyone safe and happy!”
