Over the next few months we will be chatting to all of the B7s team about their role in the business, as well as finding out some fun facts and favourite arenas at the festival.
On November's 'Meet The Team' we caught up with our Creative Manager Ash Taylor:
Name: Ash Taylor
Role: Creative Manager (TikTok Queen)
Nickname: Ash or Ash Brown (because of my love for hash browns haha)
Fun Fact: I’ve been playing football since I was 5 years old and once had Kammy (Chris Kamara) award a trophy to me!
B7s Tenure: 8 months
Tell us more about your role in more detail:
My role here at Bournemouth 7s, mostly includes looking after our social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok)! I’ve been in charge of creating and growing our TikTok account, with our numbers continuing to grow day by day!
I also have a huge part in design, from designing social graphics and documents all the way to print signage you may see at the Festival, such as key safety messaging, bar signs, campsite signage and many more.
My role during the live festival is to look after our social media and make sure we paint a picture of the full event to show people what they’re missing out on! This includes going out and taking content capturing those special moments and also interviewing our festival goers and getting them to answer silly questions, which was hilarious and we got some great TikTok content from that!
What is your top highlight of B7s 2022?
After attending the festival for 5 years as a festival goer, seeing it from the other side was really special. Seeing people have the time of their lives and creating core memories and knowing you’re a part of that reason is so magical. I especially loved being back stage, running around taking cool content and just generally the atmosphere!
What are you most looking forward to for Bournemouth 7s 2023?
Excited to see the 2 new sports come to life, and what this can bring to the festival! And, just generally bringing the festival to a whole new level, exploring ways of creativity and what else we can do to keep the festival improving year on year. It seems like a long time to wait, but I’m sure it’ll fly by!
What is your favourite B7s Arena?
My favourite B7s arena has to be the Funky Forest 🕺🏼
If you were to wear fancy dress to B7s, what would you wear?
If I were to dress up, I’d dress up as a ‘Croc’ as everyone knows I’m obsessed with my Crocs and will wear nothing else to the office 😂
