Bournemouth 7s Festival has an incredibly dynamic and creative team and over the next few months we’d like to introduce you to the people behind the World’s Largest Sport and Music Festival.
In this ‘Meet The Team’, we caught up with our Events Assistant:
Name: Ciara Hollis
Role: Events Assistant

Can you tell us about your role as Events Assistant in more detail?
Since joining the Bournemouth 7s team I have taken a lead on improving and implementing the festivals sustainability commitments. My other responsibilities include managing the accreditation process and looking after our contractors and suppliers once the agreement has been finalised.
As we are a small team of 7 people, we often find ourselves working across a wide variety of tasks. I really enjoy this aspect of my role as it means I gain experience in all areas of the event planning and delivery process - and with such a great team around me I know I’m learning from the best!
What is your top highlight of Bournemouth 7s Festival?
Having joined the team only a month before we opened the gates to our 2021 festival, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. In that month I quickly realised how much hard work and long hours are committed to making B7s the spectacular that it is.
The highlight for me has to be the last day of the festival, which was my first real chance to walk around and see that the hard work had paid off. The atmosphere was unmatched and seeing thousands of people having the time of their lives was a really special moment for me.
What are you most looking forward to for 2022?
Working with such an incredible team means there are always so many exciting ideas in the pipeline. I cannot wait to help these ideas come to fruition as we celebrate our 15th Anniversary at Bournemouth 7s.
