How long are the performances?

Each of the performances will last 2 - 2.5 min

What happens if our team is late for a performance?

Due to the amount of teams which are participating at the festival, turn-around times are very quick. If you are late, this will result in a score of 0 being given.

What regulations are in place?

All Cheerleading at Bournemouth 7s will be using the IASF Cheer Legality Rules 2021-2023.

You will then be scored using a Bournemouth 7s specific score sheet, which will be released to our teams later in the year.

What is the format of the competition?

Cheerleading at Bournemouth 7s will be performed in two categories:

  • Stunt & Tumble
  • Non-Tumble

Teams must have a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 27 people.

Each team will have 2-2.5 mins for their performance which will then be scored by the judges. Based on these results there will then be a grand final between the highest scoring teams to decide the winner.

What size can my team be?

We will be using a 7 panel sprung floor, meaning that you will be able to have a maximum of 27 athletes in your performing squad. You will need to have a minimum of 10 athletes to enter the competition.
