MARKETING MANAGER

We're looking for a highly organised and creative Marketing Manager to help drive the continued growth of Bournemouth 7s Festival - the world's largest sports and music festival.

Working directly alongside the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day execution of our marketing activity, helping grow our audience, sell tickets and strengthen the Bournemouth 7s brand.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making things happen.

All applicants MUST be based within the Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch area.

Must have an understanding of the following:

• Sports tour and festival culture
• How to market to a Gen Z audience
• Social media and digital trends
• Sports, festivals, events and live experiences
• Working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where no two days are the same.



LOCATION

All applicants MUST be based within the Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch area.

MARKETING & CRM

• Plan and deliver email marketing campaigns.
• Manage SMS and WhatsApp marketing.
• Build and maintain marketing automations.
• Segment and grow the customer database.
• Manage and maintain the annual marketing calendar.
• Delivering content during the build and live event alongside the broader team.

DIGITAL, WEBSITE & PARTNERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update and maintain website content, landing pages and customer journeys.
• Create simple graphics and image assets for emails, landing pages and digital campaigns.
• Develop local marketing partnerships.
• Support sponsor deliverables and activations.
• Co-manage influencer and ambassador programmes.
• Work closely with our Social Media Manager to deliver campaign content.
• Develop and manage local marketing partnerships to increase brand awareness and drive ticket sales.
• Work with local businesses, gyms, bars, universities and community organisations to create mutually beneficial campaigns.


PAID ADVERTISING & REPORTING

• Create, launch and optimise Meta and TikTok advertising campaigns.
• Manage paid advertising budgets.
• Track campaign performance.
• Report on ticket sales, customer acquisition and marketing effectiveness.
• Use data and insights to improve future campaigns.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A strong understanding of digital marketing and social media.
• Experience with email marketing platforms.
• Experience or a genuine interest in paid social advertising.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects at once.
• Organised, proactive and self-motivated.
• Good copywriting skills.
• Basic graphic design skills, with confidence using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Comfortable creating simple graphics for emails, landing pages and digital campaigns.
