Team & Events Assistant (Placement)

We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and ambitious placement student to join the Bournemouth 7s team.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll gain experience across sales, marketing, events and operations, working behind the scenes to help deliver one of the UK's largest sports & music festivals.

This isn't a placement where you'll spend your time making tea or photocopying. You'll be given real responsibility from day one and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the business.

Must have an understanding of the following:

• Sports tour and festival culture
• How to market to a Gen Z audience
• Sports, festivals, events and live experiences

LOCATION


All applicants MUST be based within the Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch area.

TEAM SALES & CUSTOMER SUPPORT


• Support our Team Sales Manager with day-to-day team enquiries.

• Build relationships with team captains, clubs and universities.

• Help recruit new sports teams.

• Assist with team communications and account management.

• Research new clubs, universities and sporting organisations.


UNIVERSITY & STUDENT ENGAGEMENT


• Help grow Bournemouth 7s within local universities.

• Build relationships with sports clubs and student societies.

• Identify new partnership opportunities.

• Represent Bournemouth 7s at university events where appropriate.

• Help us reach more students across Dorset.


MARKETING SUPPORT


• Assist with local marketing campaigns and grassroots promotions.

• Research local partnership opportunities.

• Support customer communications where required.

• Help identify new ways to increase awareness and drive ticket sales.

FESTIVAL & SPORTS OPERATIONS


• Assist with local marketing campaigns and grassroots promotions.

• Research local partnership opportunities.

• Support customer communications where required.

• Help identify new ways to increase awareness and drive ticket sales.



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:


• Currently studying at Bournemouth University (or recently graduated).

• A strong understanding of university sport and student culture.

• Passionate about sport, events and live experiences.

• Organised, proactive and willing to get stuck in.

• Confident speaking with people and building relationships.

• A team player with a positive attitude.

• Someone who wants to build a career in events, marketing or commercial sales.
