Bournemouth 7s Festival has announced its debut ‘Rising Sounds’ competition, which will feature in its highly anticipated 2024 event.
Against the backdrop of the growing sports competitions and the biggest music line-up in the event’s history, the Rising Sounds Takeover aims to shine a spotlight on emerging musical talent from Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and surrounding areas.
As a festival deeply rooted in the local community, Bournemouth 7s is excited to expand its offerings to include a platform for up-and-coming musicians. The Rising Sounds Takeover represents a significant opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent on a larger stage, and connect with a more diverse audience.

The Rising Sounds Takeover will feature performances spanning various genres, from indie and rock, to pop and rap. The takeover will highlight the breadth of talent within the local music scene, with winners getting the opportunity to showcase their talent on Bournemouth 7s biggest stage, The BigTop.
Local artists interested in participating in the Rising Sounds Takeover are encouraged to submit their applications for consideration. Selected performers will have the opportunity to showcase their music on one of the festival's dedicated music stages, alongside established headliners and DJs.
In addition to showcasing local talent, the Rising Sounds Takeover will offer networking opportunities, and provide them with valuable insights into the reality of the music industry.

Bournemouth 7s Festival will take place from May 24th to May 26th, 2024, and will feature headliners Rudimental, Joel Corry and Wilkinson. Tickets for the event are available for purchase on the festival's official website.
