Bournemouth 7s Festival – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the purchase and use of tickets, Team Entry packages, parking, upgrades, add-ons and other products or services supplied in connection with Bournemouth 7s Festival.

They also apply to entry to and attendance at Bournemouth 7s Festival.

By purchasing a ticket, Team Entry package, parking, upgrade or other product, or by entering the Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

References to “Bournemouth 7s”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Bournemouth Sevens Limited.

References to the “Event” mean Bournemouth 7s Festival.

Our Privacy Policy and any specific ticketing, competition, payment-plan, campsite or entry conditions published by us or our official ticketing partners should be read alongside these Terms & Conditions.

2. Purchasing Tickets and Products

2.1 Your order constitutes an offer to purchase the relevant ticket, Team Entry package or other product.

2.2 A contract is formed when your booking is accepted and you receive confirmation from us or an authorised ticketing provider acting on our behalf.

2.3 It is your responsibility to check your booking carefully before completing your purchase.

2.4 You are responsible for ensuring the contact information provided when booking is accurate and kept up to date.

2.5 Prices may change throughout the sales period.

2.6 We are not required to honour an obvious pricing or technical error where the error would reasonably have been apparent to you.

2.7 All prices include VAT where applicable.

2.8 Payments may be processed by third-party providers including EASOL, FIXR, Klarna, PayPal or other authorised payment providers.

Their own terms and conditions may also apply.

3. Refunds and Customer Cancellations

3.1 Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise by Bournemouth Sevens Limited, all purchases are non-refundable.

3.2 This includes, but is not limited to, circumstances where you:

Change your mind

Are no longer able to attend

Become ill or injured

Have work, study or personal commitments

Experience transport or travel disruption

Miss the Event

Arrive late

Are refused entry because you have breached these Terms & Conditions

Are removed from the Event

Purchase an incorrect ticket

Are unable to participate in a sport or activity

No longer wish to attend because of changes to the Event

3.3 Tickets are for a leisure event taking place on a specified date or during a specified period. The statutory 14-day cooling-off period that may apply to certain online purchases does not generally apply to these Event tickets.

3.4 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights which cannot legally be excluded.

4. Ticket Transfers and Resale

4.1 Tickets may be transferred privately to another person unless specifically stated otherwise for a particular ticket type.

4.2 A ticket-holder name change is not normally required for general admission tickets unless Bournemouth Sevens Limited or the relevant ticketing platform states otherwise.

4.3 Tickets may also be resold using any official or authorised resale platform appointed by Bournemouth 7s.

4.4 Bournemouth Sevens Limited is not responsible for private ticket transactions between individuals.

4.5 You should not purchase tickets through unauthorised sellers, touts, unauthorised social-media accounts or unofficial resale websites.

4.6 Tickets purchased from unauthorised sources may be invalid and admission may be refused.

4.7 Tickets must not be used as part of any commercial promotion, competition, advertising activity or hospitality package without our prior written permission.

5. Payment Plans

5.1 Where available, customers may choose to purchase tickets, Team Entry packages or other products through a payment plan.

5.2 By choosing a payment plan, you are committing to the full purchase price of the booking.

5.3 Payment plans are not a subscription service and are not intended to provide a right to cancel the booking simply because you no longer wish to attend.

5.4 Except where required by law, instalments already paid are non-refundable.

5.5 A customer who voluntarily stops or cancels a payment arrangement is not entitled to a refund of previous instalments.

5.6 Tickets, packages or other booking benefits may not be released or become fully valid until the total balance has been paid.

Team Entry payment plans

5.7 Where a Team Entry booking is paid by instalments, the total Team Entry price remains payable regardless of changes to individual team members.

5.8 If an individual player or participant drops out, the total price of the team booking does not reduce.

5.9 The team may replace that participant or arrange for the remaining members to cover the outstanding balance.

5.10 The Lead Booker is responsible for ensuring the overall Team Entry balance is completed.

Failed payments

5.11 If a scheduled payment fails, we or the relevant payment provider may attempt to take payment again and/or contact the Lead Booker or purchaser.

5.12 If outstanding instalments are not paid within the required timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

5.13 Where a booking is cancelled due to non-payment, amounts already paid will remain non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.

5.14 Any payment-plan terms displayed by our ticketing or payment partners also apply to the relevant transaction.

6. Event Cancellation, Postponement and Rescheduling

6.1 Bournemouth 7s may be postponed, rescheduled, relocated, altered or cancelled where reasonably necessary.

6.2 If the Event is postponed or moved to another date, purchased tickets and Team Entry packages may automatically remain valid for the rescheduled Event or be rolled forward to a future Bournemouth 7s Festival.

6.3 Where the Event is postponed or rescheduled, Bournemouth Sevens Limited will determine the ticketing arrangements applicable to the affected booking.

6.4 Refunds will not automatically become payable solely because the Event has been postponed or rescheduled.

6.5 If the entire Event is cancelled and does not substantially take place, Bournemouth Sevens Limited will announce the arrangements applicable to affected customers.

6.6 These arrangements may include:

Rolling tickets forward to another Bournemouth 7s Festival

Providing replacement tickets or credit

Providing a refund where required by law or where Bournemouth Sevens Limited determines that refunds will be offered

6.7 Where a refund process is announced, customers may be required to submit a claim within a specified refund window.

6.8 Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6.9 Bournemouth Sevens Limited is not responsible for consequential costs arising from cancellation, postponement or rescheduling, including accommodation, travel, transport, loss of earnings or other associated expenditure, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

7. Changes to the Event

7.1 Bournemouth 7s is a live festival and sporting event. The programme, line-up and operation of the Event may change.

7.2 Artists, DJs, performers, speakers, sports, competitions, stages, arenas, attractions, sponsors, venues within the Event, facilities, opening times and entertainment may be changed, moved, delayed, substituted or withdrawn.

7.3 The advertised line-up does not form a guarantee that any individual artist, act, sport, stage or attraction will appear or operate.

7.4 Changes to an individual artist, act, sporting fixture, stage, arena, attraction or other element of the Event will not entitle you to a refund provided the Event substantially takes place.

7.5 Weather conditions may result in changes to schedules, sports, attractions, stages or other Event activity.

7.6 Weather-related changes do not entitle customers to a refund where the Event substantially takes place.

8. Admission

8.1 Bournemouth Sevens Limited and its authorised security staff reserve the right of admission.

8.2 Entry is subject to possession of a valid ticket or wristband and compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

8.3 Tickets may be exchanged for festival wristbands on arrival.

8.4 Wristbands must be worn for the duration of the Event.

8.5 Wristbands that are removed, tampered with, transferred improperly or damaged may become invalid.

8.6 Lost wristbands may not be replaced.

8.7 Anyone found without a valid ticket or wristband may be refused entry or removed from the Event.

8.8 Anyone who breaches these Terms & Conditions may be refused admission or removed without refund.

9. Age Restrictions

9.1 Bournemouth 7s operates a Challenge 25 policy for the purchase of alcohol and other age-restricted products.

9.2 If you appear to be under 25, you may be required to provide valid photographic identification.

9.3 Anyone under the age of 18 must:

Be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over

Arrive onsite before 13:00

Leave the Event by 19:00

9.4 A maximum of two under-18s may attend per accompanying adult.

9.5 Under-18s are not permitted in certain restricted areas including V.VIP, designated VIP areas or the festival campsite where stated by Bournemouth Sevens Limited.

9.6 Children aged 13 and under may be admitted free where this is stated in the relevant ticketing conditions but must remain accompanied by a responsible ticket-holder aged 21 or over.

9.7 Parents and guardians remain responsible for children and young people attending the Event.

10. Security and Searches

10.1 Entry to the Event is conditional upon compliance with reasonable security procedures.

10.2 You may be required to undergo a bag search, body search or other reasonable security screening.

10.3 Security searches may include the use of detection dogs.

10.4 Anyone refusing a required search may be refused admission.

10.5 Illegal items may be confiscated and the person carrying them may be reported to the police.

10.6 Anyone carrying out illegal activity may be refused admission or removed from the Event without refund.

11. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited unless expressly authorised:

Alcohol brought into the Event

Illegal drugs

Nitrous oxide and associated equipment

Camping gas canisters

Barbecues

Glass bottles or containers, except where specifically permitted

Spray paint

Laser equipment

Generators

Fireworks

Flares

Pyrotechnics

Smoke canisters

Air horns, megaphones and similar equipment

Weapons or items reasonably capable of being used as weapons

Drones

Unauthorised professional photography or filming equipment

Other items which Bournemouth Sevens Limited or security reasonably considers unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate

Prohibited items may be confiscated.

12. Behaviour

12.1 Customers must comply with reasonable instructions given by Bournemouth Sevens Limited, security staff, stewards, sports officials and authorised Event personnel.

12.2 We may refuse admission or remove any person who:

Acts violently, aggressively or dangerously

Is excessively intoxicated

Uses or possesses illegal substances

Engages in harassment, discrimination or threatening behaviour

Damages property

Disrupts the Event

Enters restricted areas

Breaches these Terms & Conditions

Poses a safety risk to themselves or others

12.3 Removal or refusal of admission for these reasons will not result in a refund.

13. Photography, Filming and Recording at the Event

13.1 Bournemouth 7s is a public live event at which photography, video recording, audio recording and other forms of media capture take place.

13.2 By entering the Event, you acknowledge that you may be photographed, filmed or recorded while attending Bournemouth 7s.

13.3 You grant Bournemouth Sevens Limited permission, without payment or compensation, to use photographs, footage, audio recordings or other Event content in which your image, likeness or voice appears.

13.4 This content may be used for Bournemouth 7s-related purposes including:

Social media

Websites

Digital advertising

Email marketing

Video advertising

Print advertising

Posters and outdoor advertising

Public relations

Press and editorial coverage

Promotional films

Event highlights

Archive material

Future Bournemouth 7s marketing

Promotional material relating to Bournemouth 7s partners and sponsors

13.5 Content may be edited, cropped, reformatted or combined with other material where reasonably required for these purposes.

13.6 You acknowledge that Bournemouth 7s photography and filming may include crowd scenes, sporting activity, performances, stages, arenas, queues and other areas of the Event.

13.7 If you have a specific concern about an identifiable photograph or video featuring you, you may contact info@bournemouth7s.com.

13.8 We will consider reasonable requests relating to identifiable imagery, taking into account the circumstances, the context in which the content appears, our legitimate interests and any applicable legal obligations.

13.9 Nothing in this clause affects your rights under applicable data-protection law.

14. Personal Photography and Recording

14.1 Personal photography and filming using consumer equipment is permitted unless otherwise stated.

14.2 Professional or commercial photography, filming or audio recording requires prior written permission from Bournemouth Sevens Limited.

14.3 Content captured at the Event must not be commercially sold, licensed or exploited without our prior permission where the content uses Bournemouth 7s intellectual property or is captured under professional accreditation.

14.4 Accredited photographers, videographers and media personnel may be subject to additional accreditation terms.

14.5 Unauthorised drones are prohibited.

15. Intellectual Property

15.1 Bournemouth 7s names, logos, graphics, branding, designs and other intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Bournemouth Sevens Limited.

15.2 You may not reproduce, publish, commercially exploit or use Bournemouth 7s intellectual property without prior written permission.

15.3 Tickets, wristbands or Bournemouth 7s branding must not be used for commercial promotions without our permission.

16. Competitions and Prize Draws

These general competition terms apply to Bournemouth 7s competitions unless alternative or additional terms are stated for a particular competition.

Eligibility

16.1 Unless otherwise stated, competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over.

16.2 Employees of Bournemouth Sevens Limited, their immediate families and anyone professionally connected with a competition may not enter unless expressly permitted.

16.3 We may require proof of age, identity or eligibility.

How to enter

16.4 Entrants must follow the instructions set out in the relevant competition post, advertisement or entry form.

16.5 Entries that are incomplete, late, fraudulent, automated or otherwise invalid may be rejected.

16.6 Bournemouth Sevens Limited accepts no responsibility for entries that are not received due to technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Winner selection

16.7 Unless another method is clearly stated, winners will be selected at random from eligible entries using a fair random selection process.

16.8 We may retain a record of the selection process for verification purposes.

16.9 Winners will be contacted using the method stated in the relevant competition.

16.10 If a winner does not respond within 48 hours, or within another period specified in the competition, we may select an alternative winner.

16.11 Our decision regarding eligibility and winner selection is final, subject to applicable law.

Prizes

16.12 Prizes are non-refundable.

16.13 Prizes are non-transferable unless Bournemouth Sevens Limited agrees otherwise.

16.14 No cash alternative will be offered unless expressly stated.

16.15 If a prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute it with another prize of equal or greater value.

Winner announcements

16.16 Winners may be announced on Bournemouth 7s social-media channels or other channels stated in the competition.

16.17 Entry into a competition may require agreement that limited winner information, such as the winner’s name or social-media username, may be published where permitted by law.

16.18 If you object to publication of your information, you should contact Bournemouth Sevens Limited.

Competition partners

16.19 Where a competition is operated in partnership with another organisation, this will be made clear in the relevant competition information.

16.20 If entrant information is to be shared with a competition partner for its own purposes, this will be explained before entry.

16.21 Competition entry does not automatically constitute consent to receive marketing from Bournemouth Sevens Limited or a competition partner.

Data protection

16.22 Competition information will be processed in accordance with the Bournemouth 7s Privacy Policy.

16.23 Unless stated otherwise, entrant information will primarily be used to administer the relevant competition.

16.24 Any marketing consent will be requested separately where required.

Social-media platforms

16.25 Unless expressly stated otherwise, Bournemouth 7s competitions are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or any other social-media platform used to promote them.

16.26 Entrants release those platforms from responsibility for the administration of the relevant competition to the extent permitted by law.

General

16.27 We reserve the right to amend, suspend or cancel a competition where circumstances outside our reasonable control make this necessary.

17. Parking

17.1 Parking is subject to availability and any additional rules communicated at the point of purchase.

17.2 A valid parking booking may require submission of a vehicle registration number.

17.3 Parking information may be shared with the authorised organisation managing the Event car park.

17.4 Bournemouth Sevens Limited is not responsible for vehicles or possessions left within vehicles except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

18. Event Conditions and Safety

18.1 Excessive exposure to loud music can cause hearing damage.

18.2 Performances and Event areas may use:

Strobe lighting

Lasers

Smoke effects

Pyrotechnics

Confetti

Special effects

Loud music

18.3 Smoking is prohibited in enclosed public areas and structures where required by law.

18.4 Fires are prohibited unless specifically authorised.

18.5 Animals are not permitted except recognised assistance dogs or where expressly authorised.

19. Event Website

19.1 You may use our website only for lawful purposes.

19.2 You must not knowingly introduce viruses, malware or other malicious technology.

19.3 You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, systems or data.

19.4 You must not use automated tools to scrape, mine, copy or reproduce substantial parts of the website without permission.

19.5 Website availability is not guaranteed and the website may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, technical problems or other reasons.

20. Privacy

20.1 Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

20.2 Our current Privacy Policy is available through the Bournemouth 7s website.

20.3 Where third-party ticketing, payment or technology platforms process personal information, their own privacy policies may also apply.

21. Liability

21.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

21.2 In particular, nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded.

21.3 Subject to clause 21.1, Bournemouth Sevens Limited is not responsible for losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

21.4 Bournemouth Sevens Limited is not responsible for personal possessions that are lost, stolen or damaged at the Event except where this results from our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

21.5 Attendance at a large live Event involves inherent risks, and attendees are responsible for acting reasonably and following Event safety instructions.

22. Changes to These Terms

22.1 We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

22.2 The Terms & Conditions applying to a particular purchase will generally be those in force when the relevant booking was made, except where a change is required by law or relates to reasonable Event safety or operational requirements.

22.3 The current version will be published on our website.

23. Severability

23.1 If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

24. Governing Law

24.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

24.2 Consumers retain any rights they have under applicable consumer law regarding the courts in which proceedings may be brought.
